SPRING 2007 EUROPEAN CANARD FLY-IN​

Hello, fellow canard aviators!

I just wanted to let you know about my idea of having a great paneuropean Spring 2007 canard fly-in.
Over 200 experimental canard planes are deemed to be flying in Europe, from Norway to Italy.
To my knowledge, in more than 20 years I have been flying a canard plane, there has not been yet a dedicated international canard aviators' gathering in Europe.
Now could be the time! It would be the occasion to meet the enthusiast canard aviators flown from different countries, all gathered for the first time on the same airport with their very special planes.

Только с датами не точно не в апреле 2207, а в мае 17го и 18го 2008... ;D

Да в Локарно, да 17-18 Мая и не только Сбор канардов Европы, о и каждогодний сбор самодельщиков Швейцарии.

Зрелище потрясное, летай не хочу, пейзажи - сказка: горы, озера, острова и все в цветах  :

Регион Локарно - просто потрясающий. Сюда просто так приехать стоит весной - как в Москве жарким летом, собирай семью и друзей - не пожалеете !

Жіанні вообще интересный персонаж - швейцарская закалка с итальянским темпераметром. Не понимаеш иногда, то ли он серьезую речь произносит, толи шутит  ;D уже третий канар построил, модель интересная последняя http://www.comgz.com/model_E.html (собственной разработки, кстати)...и когда он их успевает делать - удивляюсь :-?

ДУмаю будет очень интересно пообщатся как конструктору (интрудера) с конструктором Stag-Ez

WHERE

It's Locarno again. Aviators who participated last year were mostly voting for it. Here people are GA friendly, there is customs service, fuel, FBO, places to visit and to stay for the night.

AIRPORT IDENTIFIER IS LSZL

Elevation is 650 ft. There are three parallel runways 08-26: two are grass, for gliders mainly; "ours" is paved, 780 m. (2600 ft.) long, lighted, no instrument approaches. See "Airport view" aside.

No scheduled events, seminars, contest will be prepared, only relaxed talking, mostly about aviation, and canards showing.
There will be nice "loose formation" flights and video shooting: therefore bring your video/camera equipment.

But, most important, fly safely and if you plan to cross the Alps you'll want to use the recommended VFR routes, either Simplon or Gothard pass: both will take you directly to Locarno.
If you plan to cross the Alps the way I prefer (over FL 140) check the FAR 91.211 rules and your oxygen system before your departure.

There are plenty of hotels in the vicinity, but early reservation would get some special fares.
